Coming off an action packed
2008, Billy and the band are looking forward to an even more exciting 2009. Last
year began with the band performing in Nashville, promoting the release of their
CD entitled “A Man’s Gotta Do...What A Man’s Gotta Do”. Soon after that, the
boys headed south to record a live CD of some of their favorite classic tunes at
the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis. On the first day of summer they had the
distinction of winning Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Star” competition in Chicago,
and opened for him at Soldier Field. Next up was "Country Thunder USA" in Twin
Lakes, WI where they were a Main Stage act, as well as one of the acts rockin'
the Miller Lite stage later that same evening. Other memorable shows included
playing the “Taste of Chicago” and opening for Heidi Newfield at “Joe’s” bar on
Weed St. in Chicago, setting up for what would be a year-end finale: being the
featured performers in the showroom of South Point
Casino in Las Vegas during the Professional Bull Riders event in
October and the National Finals Rodeo in December. The band was given the honor
of performing before and after the prestigious Buckle Award Ceremonies following
the days events at the Thomas-Mack arena.
New videos added from
the (NFR) National Finals Rodeo Championship in Las Vegas at the Southpoint Hotel & Casino
on December 4th, 5th, & 6th.
Billy Childers debut album,

Man's Gotta Do" was recorded in Nashville, TN. at The Grotto, the

Arizona," "When
I Think About Angels"). Rodney co-produced
"A Man's Gotta Do...What a
Man's Gotta Do", and one of the highlights on the album is
